The New Orleans Saints won their 8th game in a row today and did we know it!! The passion of the fans was everywhere to see earlier in the day before the game as they were all over town in their black and gold jumpers.
I managed to go to a diner and see half of the game with the locals and it was amazing. TV screens everywhere and they cheered and jeered all the way through.
Tonight we went on a riverboat cruise on the Mississippi with a jazz band playing onboard. We had our dinner included which was beautiful. Simple meats with vegies and they even had beans and tomatoes.
I missed out on the guided bus tour of the city with a commentary of the Hurricane Katrina damaged areas as I had a stomach bug from something I ate for breakfast. I hope to do that trip tomorrow.
This will be our last night as we fly out tomorrow night and arrive in San Francisco about midnight. The next day we visit the Met in Oakland which will be fascinating to see how it compares with the Met in Sacramento.
